Most average-size homes take one to two days. Large or steep roofs, multiple layers, rotted decking and weather can stretch that to three days or more. You get a realistic schedule with your estimate.

For a detached one- or two-family home, usually not. The NJ Uniform Construction Code classes repairing or replacing the existing roof covering on those homes as ordinary maintenance, which needs no construction permit. Attached homes, commercial buildings, structural work and HOA rules can differ, so we confirm before starting.

Homeowner policies generally cover sudden damage, like a storm, not age and wear. If you think a storm caused the damage, report it to your insurer and get the roof inspected. Coverage depends entirely on your policy and the adjuster’s findings.
